Ezekiel 36:25–27

There was a time in my life when I didn’t think real change was possible. I thought I’d always be carrying around the same baggage, reacting the same way, falling into the same patterns. But then God got a hold of my heart.

Ezekiel 36:25–27 has become one of the most personal and powerful passages in my life. It's not just a promise—it's my story. The words “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you” speak directly to what God has done in me over the years. I didn’t just need a little cleaning up. I needed a completely new operating system. And that’s exactly what He gave me.

What I love about this passage is how much God does the work. He cleanses. He removes the heart of stone. He gives the heart of flesh. He puts His Spirit in us. We often try to fix ourselves, but real transformation doesn’t happen from the outside in—it happens from the inside out. That’s why this isn’t just about behavior modification; it’s about heart renovation.

This verse reminds me that no matter how far gone we feel—no matter how cold, bitter, or stubborn our hearts may be—God isn’t intimidated by it. He knows exactly how to reach in and do the impossible. And when He gives us a new heart, we’re not just made better—we’re made new.

If you’re in a season where your heart feels heavy, distant, or just worn out, let this verse be a reminder: God can give you a new one. And not only that—He’ll walk with you, guide you, and teach you how to live from that place of grace.
