The Mission
We are here to CONNECT to God and each other,
to GROW in worship and truth,
and to LIVE in love and service.
to GROW in worship and truth,
and to LIVE in love and service.
The Vision
Emmanuel is a contemporary Baptist church filled with people who recognize their brokenness and need of Jesus Christ on a daily basis. The Word of God leads our every purpose and practice. Each person is challenged to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ where they have access to God through prayer, worship, and service. We are a church of imperfect people serving a perfect and awesome God!
OUR DNA VALUES
GOSPEL CENTERED
Good news is worth talking about! Good news is worth thinking about! Good news is worth sharing at every opportunity! Therefore, it is our privilege to constantly remind one another that Jesus changes lives. We will make it a priority to talk about the Gospel in our gatherings. We will make it a habit to challenge our people to share the good news of Jesus Christ in their communities, and to invite those same people to Emmanuel for a greater encounter with God!
We value at the highest level the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

TRUTH MATTERS
In a time where relativism is the norm, we affirm the absolute truth of the Word of God. What the Bible says, we believe and attempt to selflessly apply to our lives. What you want to hear is not often what you need to hear. Our preaching and teaching will lovingly challenge you to overcome personal feelings with Biblical facts. We believe there is an absolute standard to follow!
We highly value the truth of the Word of God!

JOURNEY OF FAITH
Everyone is at a different stage in their journey of faith.
We embrace that reality. Our gatherings have you in mind. Each week we offer a message that is both understandable and “apply-able.” We also offer class options in our growth process that will meet you where you are. We are a church filled with people struggling with different “issues” trying to take the next step!

PARTICIPATION OVER PERFORMANCE
Community is the ultimate key to connection. For that reason, we value people coming to our church and soon after getting involved in service opportunities. We don’t believe that the Sunday gatherings are a performance for you to experience. We believe that the Sunday gatherings and everything that we do is meant to
grow your faith to the point of personal action.
We highly value participation!

OUR CORE BELIEFS
God
We believe in God the Father as the eternally existent creator and sustainer. He, along with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, in eternity past, planned redemption. He is active in the world today and is the only being worthy of worship.
(Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 43:7)
(Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 43:7)
Bible
We believe the Bible as originally written was verbally inspired by God and is inerrant in all that it affirms. It is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried.
(2 Timothy 3:16 , 2 Peter 1:20-21)
(2 Timothy 3:16 , 2 Peter 1:20-21)
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ as the eternally existent, instrumental in creation, fully divine God/Man, who, through His death on the cross, made atonement to God for the sins of those who believe in Him. And through His bodily resurrection provided hope by defeating death, overcoming Satan, and securing a future resurrection for the redeemed. He currently intercedes for believers.
(Colossians 1:15-20, John 14:6)
(Colossians 1:15-20, John 14:6)
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit as a divine person equal to God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature. He is presently active in all who have put their faith in Jesus. We believe that the sign gifts were unique to the burgeoning Christ movement of the first century.
(1 Corinthians 6:19, Ephesians 1:13-14)
(1 Corinthians 6:19, Ephesians 1:13-14)
Mankind
We believe that humans were created in the image of God and that there are two sexes, male and female. Through willful sin humans fell from perfection and stand condemned before God. Therefore, all humans are born into sin because of their predecessor Adam. Humankind’s purpose is to worship the true God. We believe that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman.
(Genesis 1:26-28, Psalm 51:5, Romans 5:12)
(Genesis 1:26-28, Psalm 51:5, Romans 5:12)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is completely a work of God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone and people can do nothing to earn it.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
Church
We believe the local church is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel. We practice the ordinance of believer’s baptism by immersion and fellowship through the Lord’s Supper. Our purpose is to spread the gospel to the entire world.
(Ephesians 3:10)
(Ephesians 3:10)
Family and Marriage
Family is a very important part of Emmanuel as it is the first institution that God created even before government and the church. It is God's design that one man and one woman be united together in a permanent union (Genesis 2:20b-24 & Matthew 19:4-9). We believe that sexual expression is intended to take place in God's design for marriage, and anything outside of God's design is to be rejected (1 Corinthians 7:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8; Romans 1:24-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Furthermore, we believe in the binary creation of two genders, male and female, rejecting the present day cultural viewpoint that there are more than two genders. With hearts filled with compassion, we also believe and attempt to practice loving confrontation and restoration with those who are in bondage to sexual sin.
(Galatians 6:1-2)
(Galatians 6:1-2)
Future
We believe that in the future Christ will come again to redeem the church and Israel. Furthermore, He will establish a new heaven and new earth where all who are redeemed will be with Him for eternity and all who are condemned will spend eternity separated from Him in Hell.
