Mark 5:30-34
At some point in our lives we have felt unrecognized. Whether it be at work, school, or even with family. We go about our lives and complete something amazing and are hoping others see it. However, the recognition sometimes doesn’t come. I am not saying we should do things to be praised but we all know that when recognition comes it does bring encouragement. As we dive into Mark 5:30-34 I hope you are able to find encouragement that faith gets recognized. When we act by faith our Heavenly Father sees it.
Mark 5:30-34 Tells us the following:
"At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, 'Who touched my clothes?' 'You see the people crowding against you, his disciples answered, and yet you can ask, who touched me?’ But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."
Imagine you are the lady in the large crowd who is reaching out to Jesus. She knew that by her faith in the Messiah, if she could just get close enough, he could do a miracle. Jesus then searches the crowd for the person and recognizes her faith and blesses her. Here is the encouraging part! The same Jesus who recognized her faith is the same Jesus we call upon. We too should live out our faith knowing that God can do anything according to His will! Strangers, friends, and family members who don't know Jesus as their Lord and Savior let us take them to Jesus! Let our faith be what guides us each and every single day. The Bible tells us the lady fell at his feet and trembled with fear and told him the whole truth. We also can lay everything down at the feet of Jesus. Let us live by faith for the honor of our Savior!
