Acts 22:1-21
Who doesn’t like a good story? When it comes to our walk with the Lord and especially your Salvation testimony, we all have a story to tell. It doesn’t matter if you are old or young, saved 100 years ago or saved within the last few seconds; the story matters! For some of you, you may be reading this thinking your story isn't important enough to share, but that is the furthest thing from the truth. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we all pass from death to life. Isn't that something amazing! When we are willing to tell our story, others can glimpse the amazing love God has for us. As we read in the book of Acts today, Paul talks about his amazing encounter with God, the moment that changed his life forever. One moment, he was on his way to Damascus and was known for causing trouble for believers in Christ. The next moment, God got his attention in a mighty way and would soften Saul's (Paul’s) heart and empower him to be the one to take the Gospel to the Gentiles. As you read through Paul explaining his salvation testimony, the day he gave his life to Christ, we see in the Bible that people became quiet and listened. We must be bold and share our story. God may just use it to get a hold of one of your friends, family members, or even a stranger. You never know the impact you may have on someone's life with just the simple act of sharing. We often say here at Emmanuel, my story, God’s glory, and that is 1000% true. Let us give God the spotlight in our lives by telling others around us how he saved us from our sins. Let us tell others about the things God rescued you from. Let us be proud just as Paul was of the transformation that only God can do within us.
P.S. As we conclude the holiday season, when family is around. Take the time and share your salvation story and the Gospel with someone near to you. You never know the impact it could have on them ?, and don't forget my story for God’s Glory!
