As an avid MSU fan, I can't stand the opposition! We (State fans) don't even like to say UofM, and we call them “the school down the road”. We eat in the same places, work together, and even have some in our own family. Opposition is real and we pray for “the school down the road” to come to the light! Pick anything, and you can probably find someone with an opposing viewpoint or dislike towards it. Our walk with Christ is no different, and brings major opposition. Are you ready to face it?
John 3:19-21 “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”
We are faced with darkness all around us! You can probably think of someone in your sphere of influence that refuses to acknowledge that there is a God that loves them. I don't know about you, but I am one that tries to avoid opposition, but as Christians, we need to be ready to stand up against it and show God’s love to them in hopes they come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We are called to be a light in the darkness. Are you hiding your light under a bush? No! Let's allow our lights to shine bright to help fill the darkness with the love of Christ.
