John 4:39-42
How amazing it is that God chooses to use those who believe to tell others about Himself. This is something that has always astounded me. God, who is all powerful, all knowing, all present, chooses to bring us to Himself, and above all, He has chosen to use those who He has brought to Himself as His main tool to bring others as well. Those who know the Gospel, and know Jesus as Savior are to tell others about the saving power of Jesus. We are children of Jesus and we want to see others get to know Him! God could have chosen so many different ways to bring the lost to Himself. He could be doing anything He wanted in order to save others, but in His infinite wisdom He chose to use believers! See, God wants all people to be saved and have a relationship with Him, so He has chosen for those who already understand that, who already have that relationship, to go and make a relationship with those who are lost with the understanding that the lost need Jesus! He wants us in the world, not of the world, seeking those who are lost, building a Godly relationship with them, and showing God’s love to them! The last thing Jesus tells his disciples to do, is to go and make more disciples! It is amazing to me that the woman is someone that we never get the name of. It is a true showing, especially that she is a Samaritan who then goes to witness to other Samaritans, people we know were not associated with the Jews, that Jesus did truly come to die for all people! We are not told her name because she is a perfect example that Jesus wants all people to be saved! Christ knew her! Christ knew who she would tell about Him! They believed for themselves that Jesus is the Savior of the World!
