Embrace The Truth Weekend - Saturday, November 19th & Sunday, November 20th.
The younger generation of the American church is deconstructing their faith at alarming rates. It is our intention to answer the all-important questions that they may be struggling with as they contemplate their own faith. Please plan to have your middle school, high school, and/or college students attend this special event. We will be giving students the opportunity to ask any question over the course of the night.
Our guest speaker will be Abdu Murray who holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and he also earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. For most of his life, Abdu was a proud Muslim until a nine-year historical, philosophical, theological, and scientific investigation pointed him to the Christian faith.
A couple words of caution...
(1) This event is geared toward the "younger generation." All people including parents are welcome to come, but if your student is less likely to ask a key question with you being there, you might want to consider not coming.
(2) Please use discretion for your younger middle school age students. There will definitely be topics that are both hard to discuss and hear. The reality is that even our 11 year old 6th graders are hearing things in their schools beyond what is appropriate and healthy. With that said, as the parent, you have every right to determine whether or not this event is suitable for your student. We would recommend 13 years of age and up.
Please be praying for the next generation.
