Philippians 2:3-4
Pride will always come before a fall. I have been reading Colossians lately and it is our focus right now in youth group and young adults. Colossians focuses heavily on the supremacy of Christ and one thing that has always amazed me and hardly even makes sense to me is why Jesus the Son of God, the authority of all things on earth and in Heaven, God Himself, came down from heaven in such a form of humility as a baby human being. Why become a part of your creation at all? Why not become something grand like a star or something that seems worthy in our human mindset worthy of worship? Instead, he took on the form of the one thing of His creation that actively went against what they were created to do. He came in humility because that is what best served his purpose! He is the greatest example of what can be done through an act of humility! He is the greatest example of showing what humility can achieve! Through the humility of God Himself all people can be saved! Praise God for showing us what true humility looks like!
