Don’t Panic...God is Working

Nehemiah 4:15

When things get tough, we often find it’s much easier to give up or abandon a task. We see it all over the world, from sports, work, and even the Christian Journey. We give up so easily! In our house, Sarah and I often talk about not panicking when things don't go our way. Trust me, I know it’s easier said than done. We are in the midst of searching for a new house. Between searching on Zillow and going to look at houses, we have not moved to putting offers in on houses. As soon as the offer gets sent over, I begin to think worst-case and panic that we won’t be chosen. Deep down, I know we shouldn’t be panicking.

“When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to our own work.”
Nehemiah 4:15

Nehemiah 4:15 tells of how Nehemiah and his men chose to respond when they heard of attacks from their enemies. They showed up! We all can learn so much from Nehemiah, and today’s lesson is to Don’t Panic when the enemy comes. Let us stand our ground and stand up for Jesus!
